1. How will assessing employees help my business?
Assessments provide managers and executives with a greater understanding of the characteristics and tendencies of their employees. Our assessments enable organizations to match applicants with jobs that fit their characteristics, understand strengths and limitations for successful on-boarding, and identify opportunities to enhance performance and maximize their long-term contribution to the organization. This reduces costs associated with employee absenteeism and turnover, such as recruiting and on boarding expenses; minimizes disruptions to customers, co-workers and operations; and improves overall workforce productivity.
2. How much do assessments cost? What is the total cost of ownership of the program?
That depends on a number of factors. Generally, the investment is between 5 and 10% of your performance improvement. (If you review our Case Studies you'll see that our solutions helped one client achieve a 76:1 ROI, we've also had financial services company achieve over 100:1 ROI, we will be able to give you an ROI estimate after we learn more about your own situation) Our first introductory study is "risk-free", if the information we provide is not considered helpful to the success of your organization we insist that you do not pay the invoice. If you decide to hire us for an implementation you'll be offered a choice of packaged plans, a flat monthly fee for unlimited use of any assessment, or you can pay for each assessment individually. Most coaching, training and other assistance is included in the cost of the assessment.
3. Will assessments help support our strategic initiatives?
Our assessments work well with strategic initiatives that involve people-related decisions, such as succession planning, workforce growth or contraction, selection of individuals or teams, Six Sigma, and many others. After learning how to use assessments to help support these efforts, you will have more informed managers and motivated employees who will help support the goals of the organization.
4. Have your assessments solved problems similar to the issues in my business?
Our assessments have been successfully implemented in many different industries such as: hospitality, healthcare, financial services, sales, customer service, business services and education (just to name a few). Globally, our partner network serves over 40,000 clients from 10 to 50,000+ employees.
5. Can I customize your assessments to reflect the unique culture of my company?
Yes! Our assessments can be adapted to your unique culture, organizational structure and job descriptions, and in most situations for no additional cost. The ProfileXT® assessment has a unique Job Matching feature that allows you to evaluate an individual based on qualities required to perform successfully in a specific job, even down to the region, department, office, or even manager. For example, the characteristics of a successful sales rep in New York may be very different from a successful rep in rural Alberta. We can help you understand these differences so you can select and develop according to what works in your organization.
6. How will these assessments lower costs and provide a significant return on investment?
There are many financial benefits of using Profiles’ assessments, including: reduced costs associated with employee theft and absenteeism, lower recruiting and hiring costs, lower training and development costs, faster time to full productivity, improved sales performance and customer loyalty. Although actual results depend on the organization, we'll take the time to learn about your business, its history and goals and be able to provide an ROI estimate as well as tracking the success of the program linked to your performance indicators on a regular basis.
7. How would the your assessment process work in my organization?
Every client is assigned a dedicated client service professional and given access to one of the largest teams of assessment support experts in the world. Your client services executive will guide you through every aspect of bringing your assessment solution to life in your organization. This includes:
  1. 1. Understanding the assessment solution and how it works for your organization.
  2. 2. Guiding your organization through the implementation process which is customized for your needs and goals. Training your team to use the system and assessment reports. No formal credentialing is required, however training is offered to become a certified user.
  3. 3. Measuring your results, and refining your processes and performance models.
  4. 4. Applying insights from your assessments to improve organizational performance.
Once the system is implemented, authorized employees, such as hiring managers or HR administrators may schedule candidates through your online Profiles Assessment Center, which easily integrates with your current HRIS or can be used on a standalone basis. Candidates take their assessments online at their convenience. It is not necessary to proctor the assessment. Upon completion, the system scores the assessment immediately, and notifies the hiring manager to retrieve the report of his or her choice. Reports are easy to read and require only minimal training for use.
8. Can assessments be implemented and sustained within the operating rhythm of my company?
Absolutely. You can determine when, where and how the assessments will be implemented, and move as fast or slow as you feel comfortable. Some of our clients choose to begin with a pilot project in a designated department or elect to assess only new employees. This can help clients to prove the concept, create a business case, and learn more about what is required to support the initiative across the entire enterprise.
9. What types of resources do I need to commit to support the program?
Resources required on both sides (our team and yours) vary with the size and scope of the implementation. Most of our clients assign a human resources professional or team to manage the process in their organization. This individual works with one of our implementation specialists and/or Client Service Executives to implement the process, train hiring managers and users, and facilitate any systems integration. Hiring managers benefit tremendously from the training we offer, which can be conducted at your facilities or at the Profiles Training Center.
10. Should I assess current employees or just prospective employees?
We recommend you eventually assess all employees since it will allow you to properly inventory the capability and attributes of your Human Capital. This information is key to maximizing their potential and contribution to your organization. Selection is only one aspect of an assessment program. By understanding the composition of your existing workforce you will be better able to plan the workforce of the future, achieve measurable increases in productivity Job Fit improves and management is helped to better lead, coach, train, and motivate effectively. We want to help you build a workforce that achieves a new level of greater productivity and profitability for your organization.
